FOIA Reports Required by DOJ

Chief FOIA Officer Report: Detailed descriptions of the steps taken by the CFTC to improve FOIA compliance and transparency, including the steps taken to implement the Attorney General’s 2009 FOIA Guidelines during each reporting year. These reports are required by the Attorney General’s 2009 FOIA Guidelines.

CFTC FOIA Annual Report: Detailed statistics on the number of requests received and processed, the time taken to respond, and the outcome of each request, as well as many other vital statistics regarding the CFTC’s administration of the FOIA. These reports are required by the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. § 552.

Quarterly FOIA Report: The number of requests received and processed during the reporting period. They also include the number of requests in an agency’s backlog at the end of the reporting period and the progress being made to close the agency’s ten overall oldest pending FOIA requests from the prior fiscal year. These reports are required by the Department of Justice, Office of Information Policy.
