The parties discussed the establishment of a Legal Entity Identifier ("LEI") for real time reporting. The EU is comfortable with the US moving ahead on this. AFME believes the creation of a LEI is crucial to make trade repositories work. ~ ~AFME also asked whether the CFTC will recognize foreign CCPs. CFTC staff said that perhaps after the rules in the US and EU are in place.
