Mr. Berkovitz participated in a panel discussion with Scott Alvarez (Federal Reserve Board), Michael Rufino (FINRA), Julie Williams (OCC), John Thomas (FDIC), and Bob Tortoriello (Cleary, Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton) on issues regarding implementation of the Dodd-Frank legilsation. Mr. Berkovitz described the CFTC's rulemaking process and the proposed rules, final rules, and advanced notices of proposed rulemakings issued by CFTC under Dodd-Frank over the past several weeks. Conference attendees raised questions concerning capital and margin requirements and the defintion of major swap participants.
