CFTC’S DIVISION OF ENFORCEMENT NAMES NEW REGIONAL
COUNSEL FOR CHICAGO AND NEW YORK OFFICES
Rosemary Hollinger New Regional Counsel for Chicago and
Stephen Obie Takes Over as Regional Counsel for New York
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Division of Enforcement at the Commodity
Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced today the appointments of
Rosemary Hollinger as the Regional Counsel for the Chicago office of the
Division and Stephen Obie as the Regional Counsel for the New York office of
the Division.
In announcing the appointments, Gregory Mocek, Director of the Division of
Enforcement, said:
I am very pleased that Rosemary and Steve will be leading our Regional
Offices in Chicago and New York. Both are highly respected litigators who
are dedicated to the work of the Division of Enforcement. Their leadership,
expertise, and boundless energy will serve the Commission and the investing
public well.
Hollinger joined the Commission in 1986 and most recently has served as a
litigation team leader and manager handling complex enforcement matters in
the Chicago office of the Division of Enforcement. She has also been a
member of the faculty at various National Institute for Trial Advocacy
programs and taught trial advocacy at DePaul College of Law and Loyola
University. Prior to joining the CFTC, Hollinger was an associate at Levy,
Leopold & Associates and a supervising trial attorney at Cabrini-Green
Legal Aid Clinic.
Obie joined the Commission in 1998 and has worked as a Senior Trial
Attorney responsible for some of the most complex investigations and
litigations in the New York office of the Division of Enforcement. Prior to
joining the Commission, Obie clerked in the Office of Staff Attorneys where
he was assigned to the Honorable Pasco M. Bowman II, Circuit Judge for the
United States Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit and was a litigator at Fried,
Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson.
