CFTC Launches Redesigned Website

Washington - Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Acting Chairman James E. Newsome today announced the launch of a redesigned CFTC website. In making this announcement, Acting Chairman Newsome stated:

“Making relevant information easily available to the public is one of our primary goals. Traders, industry professionals, and members of the public currently rely on the Commission’s website for valuable information about the markets, the industry, and futures regulation. We want to ensure that the CFTC's website continues to provide accurate information in a timely and accessible fashion.”

The CFTC website, featuring a new design and navigational scheme, provides easy and timely access to current information about the Commission and its programs. Specifically, the new website is divided into six functional areas:

• Commitments of Traders
• Exchanges & Products
• Before You Trade
• Customer Protection
• Market Oversight
• Law & Regulation

Finally, the new website features a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section and a section that provides ready access to commonly used forms.
