Committee
to Meet on August 1, 2001
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) Global Markets Advisory Committee (GMAC), chaired by CFTC Commissioner Barbara P. Holum, will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, August 1, 2001, from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Commission’s Washington, D.C. headquarters, in the first floor hearing room (Room 1000), Three Lafayette Centre, 1155 21st Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20581.
The following topics will be discussed at the GMAC meeting:
The GMAC was created by the CFTC for the purpose of advising the Commission on issues concerning the competitiveness of U.S. markets and U.S. firms engaged in global business. The membership of the GMAC consists of individuals representing industry professionals, futures exchanges and market users.
