CFTC ANNOUNCES NEW TEMPORARY LOCATION FOR ITS
NEW YORK REGIONAL OFFICE

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Commission) announced today that effective December 3, 2001, its New York Regional Office (NYRO) will be temporarily located in the NEWPORT OFFICE TOWER, 525 WASHINGTON BOULEVARD, 21ST FLOOR, JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY 07310. The main telephone number for this new location will be: (201) 234-6900.

Since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the Commission's NYRO has been occupying office space graciously provided by Burson-Marsteller at 230 Park Avenue, South, New York, New York. The Commission is extremely grateful to the people of Burson-Marsteller for their hospitality over the past several months.

The Commission also expects that by either late March or early April 2002, its NYRO will be able to move into permanent accommodations located at 140 Broadway, New York, New York 10005-1101. An announcement will be made when this move actually occurs.
