Commodity Futures Trading Commission Extends Deadline

for Public Comment on the Concept Release Concerning

Over-the-Counter Derivatives

Washington, D.C. -- The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Commission) has extended the deadline for public comment on the Concept Release concerning over-the-counter derivatives for an additional sixty days. This Concept Release was initially published in the Federal Register on May 12, 1998 (63 Fed. Reg. 26114), with a comment period ending on July 13, 1998.

Any person interested in submitting comments on the Concept Release should submit them on or before September 11, 1998, to Jean A. Webb, Secretary, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Three Lafayette Centre, 1155 21^st Street, N.W., Washington, D.C., 20581.
