The Commodity Futures Trading Commission announced today that it has extended until October 19, 1998 the comment period regarding proposed revisions to speculative position limits. The Commission proposed these revisions on July 17, 1998 (63 Fed. Reg. 38525), with comments due by September 15, 1998.

Any person interested in submitting comments on the proposed revisions should submit them no later than October 19, 1998 to Jean A. Webb, Secretary, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Three Lafayette Centre, 1155 21^st Street, N.W., Washington, D.C., 20581. In addition, comments may be sent by facsimile transmission to (202) 418-5521, or by electronic mail to [email protected].
