CFTC Announces the Appointment of Charles J. Sgro as Counsel for the Eastern Regional Office (New York)

WASHINGTON - The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced the appointment of Charles J. Sgro to serve as Regional Counsel for the Eastern Regional Office, effective October 25, 1999.

Mr. Sgro has been with the Commission for over two years, previously serving as Counsel to Commissioner Thomas J. Erickson and as Special Counsel in the Office of General Counsel. Mr. Sgro also served over three years with the United States Department of Justice as Counsel to the Deputy Attorney General.

Mr. Sgro, a native of New Jersey, is a member of the New Jersey and District of Columbia Bars and received his B.S. degree from Montclair State University in 1986 and his Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1989.
