ACTION: Notice. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.), this notice announces that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has approved the following collection of information: OMB Control Number 3038-0048, Off-Exchange Agricultural Trade Options, expiration date November 30, 2002. Abstract: In April 1998, the CFTC removed the prohibition on off- exchange trade options on the enumerated agricultural commodities subject to a number of regulatory requirements. 63 FR 18821 (Apr. 16, 1998). This collection of information reflects the Commission's subsequent action to streamline the regulatory and paperwork burdens in order to increase the utility of agricultural trade options while maintaining basic customer protections. Responses to the collection of information are mandatory pursuant to Section 4c(b) of the Commodity Exchange Act. The estimated average burden of the collection is as follows: Estimated number of respondents: 3,605. Estimated total of annual responses: 4,115. Estimated total number of hours of annual burden in fiscal year: 23,015. Estimated average number of hours per response: 5.59.
