March 8, 2005: the Honorable Robert L. Echols, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee issued an order of preliminary injunction against Foreign Fund, also known as First Bank. This order bars Foreign Fund from engaging in fraud and sale of illegal futures contracts.
On the same day, Judge Echols also appointed Gilardi and Company as the temporary receiver. Gilardi and Company are responsible for identifying, providing notice to, and communicating with Foreign Fund/First Bank customers.
Gilardi and Company will be posting news on this case, and collecting information from Foreign Fund/First Bank customers. Please note that all information that has been sent to Investigator Patricia Gomersall at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission has been turned over to the receiver. It is not necessary for you to resubmit this information at this time.
