The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the China Securities Regulatory Commission Sign Arrangement for Enhanced Cross-Border Cooperation and Collaboration

On February 12, 2008, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) signed an arrangement to promote enhanced cross-border cooperation and collaboration between the U.S. and China (see CFTC Press Release 5453-08, February 12, 2008).

“China plays an increasingly important role in trading on the world’s futures markets, and it is critical that the CFTC and the CSRC work together on issues of mutual concern,” said CFTC Acting Chairman Walter Lukken.
