CFTC to Hold Open Meeting to Consider Two Final Rules and One Proposal


The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) will hold a public meeting on Monday, December 5, 2011, at 9:30 a.m., on the following topics:

  • Final Rule on Investment of Customer Funds and Funds Held in an Account for Foreign Futures and Options Transactions;
  • Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Process for Making a Swap Available to Trade under Section 2(h)(8) of the Commodity Exchange Act
  • Final Rule on Registration of Foreign Boards of Trade

NOTE: The Proposed Interpretation for Retail Commodity Transactions under Commodity Exchange Act Section 2(c)(2)(D), which had originally been scheduled for discussion during this meeting, was approved previously via seriatim.
