Washington, D.C. — The Agricultural Advisory Committee (AAC) today released the agenda for its public meeting that will be held on December 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. (EST) at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Washington, D.C. headquarters. Chairman Rostin Behnam is the sponsor of the AAC.

At the meeting, the AAC will focus on topics related to the agricultural economy, including geopolitical and sustainability issues, as well as recent developments in the agricultural derivatives markets. The AAC will also address procedural matters, including topics of discussion on a forward-looking basis.

“The Commission remains committed to maintaining the integrity of our agricultural derivatives markets to ensure that farmers and ranchers, as well as other market participants across the agribusiness supply chain, can continue to rely on our markets for risk management and price discovery,” said Chairman Behnam. “I look forward to members of the Committee sharing their views on issues of importance to the agricultural markets with the Commission.”
