CFTC Staff to Host a Public Roundtable to Discuss Proposed Regulations Implementing Core Principle 9 for Designated Contract Markets
Washington, DC – The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced that staff will hold a public roundtable on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., to discuss the proposed regulations implementing Core Principle 9 for designated contract markets. The roundtable discussion will focus on:
• centralized market trading requirement;
• certain aspects of the requirements for exchange of derivatives for related position transactions; and
• reporting timeframe for block transactions in futures contracts.
The roundtable will help the Commission by providing additional public input for the final rulemaking to implement Core Principle 9.
