External Meetings: Teleconference

On April 24, 2017, CFTC staff participated in a teleconference with a representative from CME. CME, along with ICE and DDR, jointly submitted a comment letter (“SDR comment letter”) in response to the Commission’s Notice of Proposed Rulemaking published on January 25, 2017 in the Federal Register.  The Comment period for the Proposed Rule closed on March 27, 2017. Discussion at the meeting focused on the contents of the SDR comment letter.  Staff sought additional information regarding implementation schedules and technology requirements. Staff also sought further understanding of comments related to cost benefit considerations made in the SDR comment letter.
