External Meetings: Conversation at Congressional Hearing
During a break in a Congressional hearing, the participants discussed the timetable for the phase-in of the application of the CFTC's regulations promulgated to implement the requirements of Dodd-Frank Act, including the requirements applicable to swap dealers, and recordkeeping and real-time reporting requirements. The participants discussed potential criteria for the CFTC to use in determining how to phase-in these requirements. Chairman Gensler encouraged the submission of industry views on this issue.
