External Meetings: Chairman Gensler presentation to ABA Conference
Chairman Gensler was the keynote luncheon speaker by videoconference from Washington, DC, to the ABA lawyers' meeting in Naples, FL. Questions following the presentation concerned the schedule by which the new regulation requirements would be phased-in; participants' concerns regarding the significant number of new requirements being proposed under the timetable established by the Dodd-Frank legislation, and whether the CFTC will recognize clearing organizations registered under foreign regulatory authorities.
