External Meetings: Meeting w/Coalition for Derivatives End-Users
This meeting focused on major swap participant and end-user issues. Chairman Gensler opened with an overview of the legislation and the Commission's rulemaking process. In addition, the following issues were raised: margin for end users; capital and margin for existing trades; capital standards for non-bank major swap participants; the definition of commercial risk; and swap-related data collection. The question whether a technical corrections bill would be considered by Congress was also raised.
