Today: Treasury Officials and Regulators to Hold Briefing on OTC Derivatives Regulatory Framework

Washington, DC—Officials from the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission will hold a pen and pad briefing on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 on the Administration’s recommendations to establish a comprehensive regulatory framework for Over-the-Counter (OTC) derivatives, which under current law are largely excluded or exempted from regulation.
