Statement of Acting Chairman Mark P. Wetjen on Confirmation of Sharon Bowen to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission

Washington, DC – U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission Acting Chairman Mark P. Wetjen made the following statement following the Senate’s vote to confirm Sharon Bowen to be a commissioner of the CFTC.

“I offer my sincere congratulations to Sharon Bowen on her confirmation today and opportunity to join the Commission at this important time.  Sharon brings both knowledge and experience that will serve the American public and the Commission well.  I look forward to working with her as we continue to implement the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, and address other issues that are critical to well-functioning and open markets.”
