Commissioner Berkovitz Statement on Passing of Bart Chilton

Washington, DC – Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Commissioner Dan Berkovitz issued the following statement on the passing of former Commissioner Bart Chilton:

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of former CFTC Commissioner Bart Chilton.   Bart was a fellow Hoosier, friend, and trusted colleague for many years.  I was honored to work with Bart during the critical years following the financial crisis and the Commission’s implementation of the Dodd-Frank Act.  Bart’s commitment to the “little guy” has made our financial markets healthier and safer for everyone.  We will miss his wit, wisdom, and friendship.”
